Michael A. Foster
Dr Liu is one of the top Chinese solicitors in the UK. He is authorised to represent client in sheriff courts and justice of peace courts throughout Scotland, immigration tribunals throughout of the UK. Dr Liu is specialised in Immigration law and criminal law, having years of abundant experience serving the Chinese community in the UK and beyond.
Heather is a partner at our firm and is dual qualified to practise law in Scotland, England, and Wales. She specialises in conveyancing and immigration law. With her extensive legal expertise, Heather is dedicated to securing successful outcomes in all her cases.
Michael is the former Senior Partner and Head of Civil Litigation at Hughes Dowdall. He has over 40 years of litigation experience and is our firm’s Senior Litigator. A graduate of Glasgow University with an LLB Honours and an MBA from Glasgow Caledonian University, Michael’s career spans criminal defence, family law, and more.

Belal Al Latif
Jay joined LB & Co in June 2023. He completed his LLB degree at Edinburgh Napier University, achieving a 2:1, and then went on to the University of Glasgow to complete his diploma. He is now undertaking a traineeship at LB & Co.
Weifan initially joined LB & Co in June 2023 as a summer intern and is now working as a part-time legal secretary. She received a first class LLB in Scots Law from the University of Edinburgh in 2022 and was further awarded a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice in 2023. She is currently studying for a masters degree in law at the University of Edinburgh.
Belal Al-Latif is a Scottish Solicitor advising individuals, including overseas clients, and businesses on a range of legal matters. His work includes property, commercial, litigation, tax, succession and licensing matters. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a qualified Scottish Law Accountant.
